Turkmenistan to Build Mosque in Artsakh, Says Aliyev
A mosque will be constructed in the city of Varanda (Fizuli) in the occupied Artsakh with funds from Turkmenistan. This announcement was made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a press conference following a high-level meeting involving Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.
“During my stay in Fizuli, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov (former President of Turkmenistan) proposed to build a mosque in this city as a gift from Turkmenistan. I accepted this proposal with gratitude. Although only a month has passed, the architectural sketches of the mosque are already ready, and its foundation will be laid in the near future,” Aliyev stated.
