Pashinyan Condemns Attacks Against Iran, Calls for Adherence to UN Charter
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, signed a joint statement following their meeting. The two sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic and promising trend of developing bilateral cooperation at regional and international levels, as well as the exchange of dialogues and delegations at high levels.
Furthermore, the leaders emphasized the importance of regular political consultations at a high level aimed at harmonizing approaches on bilateral, regional, and international issues and expanding cooperation. The parties stressed that regardless of changes in the international situation, they will continue to be committed to strengthening bilateral relationships and developing mutual cooperation.
Condemning the recent attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Pashinyan called for adherence to the UN Charter and international law, highlighting their commitment to the UN Charter and recognized principles and norms of international law, including respect for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of states, the inviolability and integrity of international borders, the exclusion of the use of force or the threat of force, and non-interference in each other's internal affairs. They reaffirmed relations based on peaceful coexistence and fraternity.
