Joint Military Exercises of Russia and China Not Targeting Any Third Country
The naval forces of Russia and China are set to conduct joint exercises named "Marine Interaction - 2025" in August near Vladivostok, followed by patrol operations, announced Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Defense.
Zhang Xiaogang stated that Russia and China will hold the "Marine Interaction - 2025" joint naval exercises in waters and airspace near Vladivostok in August, as reported by TASS. After the exercises, some of the forces involved from both sides will be deployed to appropriate regions in the Pacific Ocean to carry out the sixth joint maritime patrol.
He emphasized that these exercises and patrol operations are part of the annual cooperation program between the armed forces of Russia and China. According to him, these events are not aimed at any third countries and are not related to the current international or regional situation.
As reported by the "Vzglyad" newspaper, China has also begun conducting exercises around Taiwan. The People’s Liberation Army of China has conducted drills in the South China Sea as well. Amidst these exercises, Beijing has threatened Taiwan with a "crippling blow."
