Macron's Approval Rating Hits Record Low
The approval ratings of French President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister François Bayrou have reached the lowest levels in the history of the Fifth Republic. This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by Ifop for Journal du Dimanche.
The combined score for the duo stands at 37, significantly lower than the 51 points set by François Hollande and Manuel Valls in 2014. Support among Macron's voters has declined to 49%, losing 12 points since 2022.
"Macron has entered the history books as the first president whose approval rating has declined in such a manner," note the authors of the study.
