Ruben Hakobyan Arrested

According to the information obtained during the criminal proceedings conducted by the main department for investigating crimes against the state, constitutional order, and public safety of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, it has been established that MP Ruben Hakobyan made a public call to seize power during an interview with the mass media on July 1, 2025.

This was reported to Auroranews by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

On July 18, 2025, based on a petition from the investigator, the prosecutor's decision, which supervised the legality of the ongoing criminal proceedings, initiated public criminal prosecution against R.H. under part 2 of Article 422 of the Armenian Criminal Code.

On the same day, R.H. was arrested to appear before the court.
