UN Observes Processes Between Armenia and Azerbaijan
The meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on July 10 in Abu Dhabi can be seen as a step towards reinforcing the agreement on the text of the peace treaty between the two countries. This was stated by the official representative of UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Stéphane Dujarric.
“We welcome this dialogue between two countries that have experienced tension for a long time. We recall the agreement reached in March regarding the peace treaty, and we consider this a very positive development. This meeting can be viewed as a step towards solidifying the agreement on the text of the peace treaty. The Secretary-General is paying very close attention to these processes,” Dujarric emphasized.
