Fallen Trees, Damaged Roofs: Aftermath of Strong Winds
On July 5, starting at 16:27, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia received multiple reports regarding damages caused by strong winds. Information was received from the Armavir and Vayots Dzor regions, as well as various administrative districts of Yerevan, about tilted and fallen trees, poles, and damage to building roofs.
The relevant units of the emergency service responded promptly to all incidents. Specifically, rescue operations are being conducted in the towns of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor and Norapat in Armavir, and in the streets of Yerevan, including Khanjyan, Kurginyan, Eghbariutyan, Israelian, Shahumyan, Chekhov, Agatangeghos, Charents, Hasratyan, and Andranik, as well as on Sayat-Nova, Arshakunyan, and Baghramyan avenues.
Efforts on the ground include cutting down and removing fallen and broken trees and delineating affected areas. The operations at the mentioned addresses are ongoing.
