The United States Calls on Its Citizens to Avoid or Leave Iran
The United States has urged its citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran due to a high risk of terrorism, civil unrest, kidnappings, and arrests. This was stated on the website of the U.S. Embassy in Iran.
“Iran's airspace has been partially open since July 2. However, disruptions to commercial flights from Tehran and other cities may occur. U.S. citizens can cross the border by land, traveling from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, or Turkmenistan,” the statement said.
According to the announcement released by the embassy, “U.S. citizens are advised not to travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran during this time, and if they are in the country, they should remain vigilant and cautious.”
