Gambling Advertisements Banned Near Armenia's Borders and Hotels
Advertisements for casinos and gaming websites will now only be permitted in relevant establishments and offices. The National Assembly has approved a bill amending the 'Law on Advertising', initiated by Narek Ghahramanyan, an MP from the 'Civil Contract' faction. Under the previous regulations, advertising for casinos and online gaming platforms was allowed only in gambling establishments, land and air entry points, as well as in four-star hotels and above. With the new regulations, advertising will be permitted exclusively on the facades of gaming companies' buildings and within their offices.
“Even in a limited format, such practices negatively affect the country's image, especially in the eyes of respectable foreign guests,” Ghahramanyan stated. The changes will come into effect 10 days after official publication.
