Azerbaijan Has Not Had Complaints in Any Form or Substance: Zakharova
The Republic of Azerbaijan has not had complaints against the news agency "Sputnik Azerbaijan." This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a broadcast on "Sputnik" radio, as reported by TASS.
"I would like to draw attention to the fact that throughout all these years, this media outlet has been operating, and most of its employees were Azerbaijani citizens, along with citizens of the Russian Federation. The Azerbaijani side has never had any complaints regarding this media outlet—neither formal nor substantive," the diplomat added.
It is also worth noting that the Baku court has decided to imprison the director and editor-in-chief of "Sputnik Azerbaijan"'s Baku branch for four months. Additionally, four out of eight Russian citizens arrested in Baku in connection with a drug trafficking case from Iran have also been detained for four months.
