Iran Discusses Possibility of Closing the Hormuz Strait
Iran is discussing the possibility of closing the Hormuz Strait. This was announced by Ismail Kousari, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.
"The issue of closing the Hormuz Strait is being discussed, and Iran will make an appropriate decision with complete determination," he said.
It is worth noting that about 30% of the world's maritime trade in oil passes through the strait, as well as nearly all goods exported from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, and Kuwait, along with a significant portion of Iranian exports.
