Lavrov on Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations
Russia wishes success to Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the signing of a peace treaty. This was stated by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov. He emphasized that Moscow is ready to support the process.
Recently, during a meeting with Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Lavrov mentioned that Moscow is genuinely interested in the comprehensive resolution between Yerevan and Baku. He said, "We believe that solid foundations for this are the comprehensive trilateral agreements reached at the highest level between the Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia in 2020 and 2022. We welcomed the agreement on the text of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We are ready to assist with the resolution of all issues that need to be addressed for the signing of this document. You can always count on us for issues such as the unblocking of transport and economic routes, delimitation and demarcation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, and resolving all emerging humanitarian issues, taking into account the interests of each side,” he stated.
Lavrov also added that Russia sees great potential in the development of the "3+3" regional platform.
