Tensions Continue in Syunik Region, Says Russian Defense Minister
Tensions around Armenia's Syunik region remain high. Moscow is interested in a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan, stated Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, according to TASS.
He added that Russia is ready to do everything possible to facilitate the signing of a peace agreement.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia sincerely wishes success to Armenia and Azerbaijan in their efforts to sign a peace treaty and is prepared to continue providing any possible assistance to the parties in the development and signing of such a document.
