Deportation Plan May Override Due Process Rights, Trump
US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with NBC News that his ambitious campaign promise to execute mass deportations swiftly could take precedence over immigrants' rights to due process under the Constitution.
A central part of his agenda is to carry out the "largest deportation operation" in US history, as he promised during his 2024 campaign. To achieve this goal, the Trump administration aims to seek immediate deportation from courts of those immigrants it accuses of belonging to Venezuelan crime syndicates.
