Iran Ready to Take First Step: Araqchi
Iran is ready to take the first step and visit Berlin, London, and Paris to restart negotiations regarding the situation surrounding Tehran's nuclear program with the "European trio" countries (Germany, the United Kingdom, and France). This was announced by Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
"I propose diplomacy again. After my recent consultations in Moscow and Beijing, I am ready to take the first step and visit Paris, Berlin, and London. I was prepared to do this before Iran began indirect negotiations with the United States regarding its nuclear program, but the 'European trio' rejected it," Araqchi wrote on the X social media platform.
He added, "The ball is now in the court of the European trio. They have the opportunity to free themselves from the grip of special interest groups and pave a different path. Where we will turn at this crossroads will likely determine the future." According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, current relations between Tehran and the three European countries are severely deteriorating.
