Turkey Announces Large-Scale Petition Against Erdogan
The leader of Turkey's main opposition party, the Republican People's Party (CHP), Ozgur Ozel, has announced a large-scale petition aimed at expressing a lack of confidence in President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and calling for early presidential elections. This was reported by local media.
This marks the party's 21st extraordinary congress, held at a cultural center in the capital, Ankara. "Starting Monday, we will begin our petition across the streets of our country to demonstrate the most ambitious stance of distrust towards Erdogan. We are ready for early elections in June. If you cannot make it by June, be prepared to compete with our candidate by the first half of November," Ozel stated.
