Houthi Movement Ready to Negotiate with the U.S. for Peace, Says Al Araby
The Houthi movement, also known as Ansar Allah, from Yemen is prepared to initiate negotiations with the U.S. administration aimed at achieving peace, provided Washington expresses such an intention. This was reported to the Qatari channel Al Araby by an anonymous representative of the rebels.
“American aggression is an unjustifiable attack and a violation of our sovereignty. Channels for negotiations can be opened; we have always maintained dialogue,” said one of the movement's leaders to the channel, adding that the rebels are ready for peace if a “serious attempt” for resolution is made.
