Car Collides with Train, Injuries Reported
On February 28, at 4:27 PM, the emergency management center of the Gegharkunik regional rescue department received a report that a car had collided with a train on the Vardenis-Mets Masrik highway, resulting in injuries. This information was provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
A firefighting-rescue team was dispatched to the scene from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It was determined that approximately 2 kilometers from the Vardenis-Mets Masrik highway, at the intersection of the train tracks and the road, a Mercedes-Benz car collided with a snowplow train. The driver sustained injuries and was trapped inside the vehicle.
Rescuers extracted the driver from the car and brought him to an ambulance; the injured individual has been hospitalized. The rescue team has cordoned off the area, disconnected the vehicle's battery, and closed the gas valve.
