New Generation Equipment to Be Introduced at Armenian Airports
New biometric and next-generation equipment will be deployed at Armenian airports. This decision was made during today’s meeting of the Armenian government.
"It is planned to install biometric access control systems and new generation baggage screening equipment of the 'Rapiscan RTT110' type, which will ensure inspection of 98% of baggage, while the inspection of the remaining 2%, which the system will automate, will be carried out by separate equipment," the decision states.
This will enable rapid baggage inspection procedures at airports, fully maintaining the standards set by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization). The Armenian government believes that this decision will enhance the level of aviation security.
