Azerbaijan May Participate in Turkey's Military Operations
Azerbaijan may participate in Turkey's military operation against Kurdish forces in Syria. This is reported by the Turan publication.
It is stated that a delegation led by Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Defense and former commander of special forces Hikmet Mirzoyev arrived at the Turkey-Syria border in Kilis to meet with the command of the Turkish Armed Forces' special forces.
The media adds that earlier, Azerbaijani leadership announced its intention to participate in the reconstruction of Syria alongside Turkey. Reports indicate that Hikmet Mirzoyev's visit may signal Baku's intention to engage in military operations in Syria.
