Baku Sends Protest to Moscow
The Azerbaijani embassy in Russia has communicated through diplomatic channels to the Russian side regarding the inadmissibility of offensive statements made by Vladimir Kara-Murza, a member of the Coordinating Council under the Public Chamber of Russia, towards Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. This was reported to Minval by the Azerbaijani embassy in Moscow.
The diplomatic mission urged the Russian side to prevent similar incidents in the future. "We continue to monitor the situation," said the embassy.
It should be noted that Vladimir Kara-Murza made disparaging remarks about President Ilham Aliyev after the latter publicly accused Russia of being responsible for the crash of an ‘Azerbaijan Airlines’ aircraft. According to Kara-Murza, Aliyev does not have the right to address the Russian authorities in such a tone.
