Altercation and Brawl in the Presence of Prime Minister Pashinyan
A heated altercation occurred between Civil Contract party member Hayk Sargsyan and Tavush Province Governor Hayk Galumyan in the presence of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by ArmLur.am.
“Yesterday, the Civil Contract member made a sharp speech regarding illegal logging, accusing Governor Hayk Galumyan, which escalated into mutual insults and a scuffle. According to our information, members of the Civil Contract exchanged blows right in front of Nikol Pashinyan, who then left the scene,” the report states.
According to the media outlet, the closed session of the Civil Contract initiating group ended in a dispute over the appalling environmental situation in Tavush, particularly the illegal logging, which Hayk Sargsyan had addressed in previous meetings.
Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan intervened in the dispute, attempting to calm Sargsyan and Galumyan, but the situation continued to escalate.
