Leader of Syrian Militants Reveals Their Objectives
Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, the leader of the terrorist group "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham," has given an exclusive interview to CNN, revealing that the militants aim to overthrow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime. This was reported by CNN.
Al-Jolani also stated that they plan to establish a government based on institutions and a "people's council elected by the populace." He said, "When we talk about objectives, the goal of the revolution remains the overthrow of this regime. It is our right to use all available means to achieve that goal. The seeds of the regime's defeat have always been within it. The Iranians tried to revive the regime, buying time, and later the Russians also attempted to support it. But the truth remains the same — this regime is dead."
On November 27, after leaving the areas under their control, militants captured Syria's second-largest city, Aleppo, and subsequently seized Hama, moving toward the southern part of the country.
