Gift Scams on Telegram: A Warning
Hackers have developed a new scheme that allows them to access Telegram user accounts. This specifically involves notifications about 'gifts' in the form of paid subscription services. Russian media outlets report on this alarming trend.
These hackers send messages about 'gifts' disguised as a Telegram Premium subscription, containing a link to a phishing page. This page prompts users to enter their phone number, password, and confirmation code. All entered information is immediately transmitted to the hackers, who gain complete access to the account.
Experts advise against clicking on suspicious links, not downloading files from unknown senders, and enabling two-factor authentication to protect your accounts. If you have any doubts, it is recommended to contact Telegram's official support.
