Israel Bans UNRWA Activities
The Israeli Knesset (parliament) has approved a law that bans the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), reports Kan radio.
Earlier, the Israeli Ynet platform reported that Israel's membership in the UN could be temporarily suspended if the Knesset adopts a bill to sever ties with UNRWA. Ynet cited Israeli diplomats who noted that such a decision would be in direct contradiction to the UN Charter.
