VIDEO: Why Gas Consumption Rates Are Not Increasing in Armenia
Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan has announced that while Armenia has recorded high economic growth rates in recent years, the pace of gas consumption is not increasing and is even declining.
According to him, this is due to the rapid development of renewable energy in Armenia. “More electricity is being produced in Armenia. The rates of renewable energy are faster, and as a result, not only are gas consumption volumes not increasing, but our dependency is not growing, and even a certain decline has occurred,” he said.
