Has Israel Agreed to a Humanitarian Ceasefire in Gaza? Netanyahu Responds
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has denied reports circulating in the media claiming that Israel has agreed to humanitarian ceasefires in the Gaza Strip for the purpose of vaccinating children against polio.
“The report from Israeli Channel 13 regarding Israel's agreement to establish a humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is false. These are not pauses in military operations for vaccinations, but rather the allocation of specific areas in the Gaza Strip. This proposal has also been presented in the cabinet and received support from experts,” the statement reads.
Earlier, a media outlet reported that Israel had agreed to a humanitarian ceasefire at the request of the United States to vaccinate Palestinian children against polio.
