Unknown Individuals Threaten to Kill Producers of Olympic Games Opening Ceremony
Producers of the Olympic Games opening ceremony in Paris, who work for Paname 2024, have filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office due to receiving electronic messages containing death threats, reports the French newspaper Le Parisien.
The company's corporate email received several abusive messages, citing the Quran and threatening that the organizers of the Olympic Games opening ceremony will bear 'Allah's punishment.' The report notes that the prosecutor's office has already launched an investigation into the threats directed at the artistic director of the Olympic Games opening ceremony, Thomas Jolly. He has also received similar threatening letters.
The search for the anonymous senders is being conducted by the National Center for the Fight Against Internet Hate (PNLH) and the Central Directorate for Combating Crimes Against Humanity and Hate Crimes (OCLCH) of the Paris Prosecutor's Office.
The opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics is set to take place on July 26. The event will consist of several segments, including a parody of the 'Last Supper,' featuring nearly naked individuals as transvestites and in the role of the ancient god Dionysus.
