Zelensky Promises to Develop Action Plan for Peace by End of November
The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, stated in an interview with Japanese public broadcaster NHK that Ukraine plans to develop an action plan to achieve peace by the end of November 2024.
Zelensky emphasized that he has set this goal for his administration and diplomatic team. He expressed confidence that strengthening the Ukrainian army, primarily with U.S. support, and applying international diplomatic pressure on Russia are three essential components that will lead the conflict to a fair resolution.
Additionally, the Ukrainian president revealed that he has received unofficial proposals to freeze the conflict but mentioned that he cannot accept them. Earlier, he had stated that representatives from Russia should participate in the second summit on Ukraine's peace issue, while also not ruling out negotiations with Moscow.
