Consequences of Heavy Rain in Yerevan: Rescuers Remove Trapped Vehicles

On August 30, the Operational Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received reports regarding incidents caused by heavy rain in the capital. Specifically, there were flooding in the Malatia-Sebastia and Nor Nork administrative districts, vehicles trapped in rainwater, and short circuits of electrical wires.

Special rescue teams from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Department, as well as from the special rescue operations center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, were dispatched to the scene.

The rescuers conducted water drainage operations using motor pumps at various locations, while simultaneously removing vehicles that were trapped in the rainwater.
