Russia Plans Strikes on British Defense Industry, Reports Daily Mail

British defense companies supplying weapons to Ukraine have been warned about an increase in potential strikes from Russia, reports the Daily Mail.

Similar warnings were raised during a roundtable discussion this summer between senior government officials and executives of defense companies. While sources did not specify the names of the current leaders, it is believed that representatives from companies providing drones and weapons to Ukraine attended the meeting.

Among them is Ukrspecsystems, located near the Mildenhall Air Force Base in Western Suffolk, which manufactures UAVs for Ukraine, as well as Callen-Lenz, a subsidiary of BAE Systems that supplies drones, whose products have recently been deployed to strike oil refineries deep within Russia.

The MBDA company, which produces Storm Shadow missiles used by Ukraine to target locations within Russian territory, is also at risk. The discussion reportedly followed the failed Russian assassination attempts on the heads of two German defense firms, one of whom was Armin Papperger, CEO of Rheinmetall, which produces artillery shells for the Ukrainian armed forces.
