US Military Warns Hegseth of Risks in Prolonging War with Iran

American military leaders have warned Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that continuing the war with Iran could seriously deplete U.S. armed forces globally, according to The Washington Post.

Commanders argue that months of ongoing operations have reduced supplies of ships, missiles, drones, and air defense systems, while simultaneously weakening the readiness of American troops in Europe, Asia, and domestically.

The most stringent position has been expressed by U.S. Navy representatives, emphasizing that the current scale of operations is becoming unstable. According to their data, only about 25% of the stationed escort minesweepers are ready for deployment.

Army and Air Force leaders have agreed to extend operations but also warned of significant risks to combat readiness.
