Unknown Individuals Attack Church and Synagogue in Dagestan, Reports Russian Interior Ministry
In Derbent, Dagestan, unknown individuals reportedly fired upon a synagogue and a church. This information was shared by RIA Novosti. One police officer has been killed, and three others have been injured. Following the attack, a fire broke out at the synagogue.
The identities of the assailants are being investigated. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan has announced that a 'listening' plan has been implemented, and the suspects are believed to have fled in a white Volkswagen Polo.
Around the same time, gunfire was also reported in Makhachkala, where unknown individuals fired upon a traffic police department. Initial reports suggest that two police officers have been killed and six others injured.
A serious incident has occurred in Russia, involving gunfire at the Russian-Abkhazian border near the Psou River. Preliminary data indicates one person has been killed and three others wounded.
