Russia Plans to Open Consulate in Occupied Stepanakert
Russia plans to open a consulate in the occupied city of Stepanakert in 2024. This information has been reported by Azerbaijani media outlets.
The head of the Federal Council's Committee on International Affairs, Grigory Karasin, stated during a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Samad Seyidov, that preparatory work would begin in the near future.
"We plan to start preparatory work soon and expect your support," he said. Karasin added, "This will allow us to eliminate the imbalance in mutual consular presence."
