Ararat Mirzoyan Offers Condolences Following Tragedy in Iran
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, has expressed his condolences on Twitter regarding the tragedy that occurred in Iran.
“We are hearing horrific news from Iran, including the tragic death of my dear colleague and friend. I extend my deepest condolences to the government, Iranian partners, and the friendly people. Sharing in your grief, we wish you strength during these bleak times,” reads Mirzoyan's post.
It is worth noting that a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian crashed in the northwestern part of the country, specifically in the Verzegani area. Also on board were the Governor of East Azerbaijan, Malik Rahmati, the Imam of Tabriz, Malik Rahmati, and five other individuals (including crew members). All aboard were killed.
