VIDEO: Ishkhan Gevorgyan and 4 Others Released from Custody
Five citizens who were detained on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition during protests in Yerevan have been released. The information was shared by lawyer Vahrazdat Harutyunyan.
“Ishkhan Gevorgyan, Andranik Yeghoyan, Hrachya Tovmasyan, Gari Avagyan, and Hayk Mesropyan were just released from custody on unfounded charges of illegal weapon possession,” Harutyunyan wrote on his Facebook page.
It should be noted that the five citizens, supporters of the 'Tavush for the Motherland' movement, were detained on May 14. Lawyer Ruben Melikyan had stated that although they were searched and no illegal weapons were found, they were arrested instead of being released.
Ishkhan Gevorgyan is a member of the 'Azatasein' organization council.
