Bayramov on Latest Negotiations with Mirzoyan
Intensive negotiations regarding the peace agreement resumed in February, stated Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. He also assessed the recent talks with Ararat Mirzoyan in Almaty positively, but did not elaborate on their content.
Bayramov noted that expectations should be appropriate and realistic. “This is a very complex and necessary process. The peace agreement must be just, based on international law. Of course, the expectations of the other side are also taken into account. The negotiations in Almaty became the next step. Whether this is a big or small step, we will only know at the end of the process. But I will say that this is an important part of the process,” said Bayramov.
According to him, the parties have agreed to continue negotiations. “I believe we will witness this in the near future,” added the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister.
