Police Arrest Driver of Truck That Crashed Into Square

Police have arrested the driver of a truck that entered the Republic Square. A citizen, ignoring the legal demands of the police, drove his truck into the square, according to a report from the police to ArmeniaSputnik.

The police arrested the driver and took him to the Central Police Department on suspicion of hooliganism. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver was in an inebriated state and, according to his statements, had come to participate in a demonstration at the square.
