Kiranzi Administrative Leader Provides Details on Demarcation Process
Kiranzi administrative leader Kamo Shahinyan shared details about the ongoing demarcation process in Kiranzi during an interview with NewDay.am. According to him, “We have a height known as ‘Khachilar,’ which is right on the direct cross, and they have lowered it by about 25 meters. I extend special thanks to the people who have managed to do this. Now, we are left with the village part, which is the most painful area. The lands that we are losing, totaling 9.5 hectares, have also been lowered by the river; not a single centimeter of our land is being crossed.
At the back, there are three privatized lands of 4500 meters; if you take it in a straight line, they fall within, but they said that they will do it in such a way that instead of a straight line, it will be shown in parentheses, meaning it will still remain for us. We are currently waiting for the parts of the village and the bridge; these are in the negotiation phase. Points 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 have already been addressed, and we are not losing a single centimeter of land. As for points 12, 13, and 14, nothing has been surrendered. Point 15 is within their village, but it has actually been their territory. At this point, no privatized land is being passed to them; as of now, I am satisfied with what has occurred. At this moment, everything is completely positive in our favor.”
