Video: Holy Fire Brought Out from the Tomb of the Lord in Jerusalem's Old City

The Holy Fire has been removed from the Tomb of the Lord in Jerusalem's Old City. Before the removal of the Holy Fire, Israeli police heightened security measures early in the morning.

The removal of the Holy Fire, which symbolizes the miraculous light of Christ's resurrection, takes place only on Holy Saturday, the day before the Orthodox Easter, at the Tomb of the Lord, and exclusively through the prayers of the Orthodox Patriarch.

On this day, Israeli law enforcement traditionally imposes a special security regime around the Old City. Hundreds of police officers and security personnel have been deployed since early morning in Jerusalem's historical center to ensure public safety and to accompany Christian processions and visitors.
