Announcement: Streets Will Be Closed Today and Tomorrow
The Armenian Police has issued an announcement regarding street closures. In connection with the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, to ensure the safety of participants in the torchlight march, road traffic will be restricted in several streets of the capital starting from April 23 at 19:00.
Specifically, traffic will be partially restricted in the Republic Square, Amiryan Street, Mashtots and Baghramyan Avenues, as well as Orbelian and Kyiv Streets.
Moreover, to ensure the safety of the participants in the commemoration ceremony taking place at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial dedicated to the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, traffic will be restricted on April 24 starting from 06:00 from Leningrad Street towards the Tsitsernakaberd highway, from the intersection of Isakov and Athens Streets towards Athens Street, from the bridge adjacent to the Yerevan HPP in the Hrazdan Gorge towards Isakov Avenue, and Verfel Street towards Brazil Square.
Additionally, on the same day, from 08:30 to 11:00, the entrance to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial will be closed to ensure the safety of participants in the state ceremonial event.
