Bad Day for Putin: Ukraine's Support from the US
Official Kyiv and European allies welcome the approval of the bill by the US House of Representatives for aid to Ukraine. The total amount approved for Israel and Taiwan by American lawmakers exceeds $95 billion, of which approximately $61 billion will be allocated to Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that this move by the United States will "save thousands of lives." He added, "We hope the Senate will support the bill, and it will be sent to President Biden for approval. Thank you, America."
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called April 20 a "bad day for Putin." The Kremlin responded by saying that the actions of the United States "will cost new lives for Ukrainians due to the Kyiv regime."
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk remarked, "Better late than never." The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, emphasized that "the vote in the United States sends a clear message to the Kremlin: those who believe in freedom and the UN Charter will continue to support Ukraine and its people."
