Moscow Calls on Yerevan and Baku
Moscow has called on Yerevan and Baku to exercise maximum restraint and reduce the intensity of warlike rhetoric. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a press briefing while commenting on the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“All territorial disputes and mutual claims between Baku and Yerevan must be resolved through political-diplomatic methods. We urge the parties to demonstrate maximum restraint and lessen the intensity of bellicose rhetoric,” she said.
She noted that all necessary mechanisms are in place to establish sustainable peace and prosperity in the region. In this context, Zakharova mentioned the trilateral agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
According to the Foreign Ministry representative, Russia is always ready to assist the parties in finding solutions, including regarding the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
