A Man's Body Discovered in a House in the Village of Avan: Investigation Underway

On April 9, at 8:09 AM, the Police Department’s operational management center in the Aragatsotn region received a report from the Ashtarak division about a body being discovered in one of the houses on 1st Street in the village of Avan.

An operational group dispatched from the Ashtarak division found the body of 69-year-old Dalvorik O. on the floor of the house's hallway. An external examination revealed injuries and bruising on the face.

A forensic examination has been ordered. Thanks to the operational-investigative measures taken by the officers of the Aragatsotn regional police department and the Ashtarak division, a 63-year-old resident of the village of Avan has been arrested on suspicion of unlawfully causing the death of the 69-year-old man and has been presented to the Aragatsotn regional investigative department.

A criminal case has been initiated. The cause of death and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
