Turkey Submits Application to Participate in Russian New Orbital Station Project

Turkey has submitted an application to participate in the project for the creation of a new Russian orbital station. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing Lev Zelyony, the director of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

At the end of last year, Roscosmos invited the space agencies of Brazil, Turkey, and South Africa to participate in the work of the Russian orbital station. It has been reported that these countries have shown "genuine interest" in the project.

On April 2, it became known that the state corporation Roscosmos had officially confirmed the preliminary design of the Russian orbital station. One of the key features of the new station will be an open modular architecture. The main or central module will have six docking nodes, each capable of connecting to other modules.
