Can We Make It So That the Metro Displays Countdown Timers? Avinyan
During the regular operational meeting of the Yerevan Municipality on April 8, Babken Sedrakyan, the director of the Yerevan Metro, announced that last week the number of passengers transported by the metro reached 544,000. A total of 2,836 trainsets were deployed, of which 581 were three-car trains, 1,283 were two-car trains, and 972 were single-car trains. He also added that the performance rate was 105.8 percent.
Mayor Tigran Avinyan inquired whether it would be possible as part of the transportation reforms to display countdown timers on the metro, indicating when the train would arrive at the station.
In response, Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan mentioned that if it were not feasible with the existing technical resources, new solutions would need to be developed to address the issue.
“Let’s put this issue on the agenda and make sure it gets resolved,” Avinyan stated.
