Power Supply Disrupted in 8,800 Residential Buildings in Orenburg Region
Power supply has been disrupted in 8,800 residential buildings in the Orenburg region, leading to the evacuation of more than 4,000 people. This information was reported by TASS, citing the regional government’s press service.
According to authorities, a total of 4,064 individuals have been evacuated, including 885 children. Traffic on federal highways is proceeding without restrictions, despite the power outage affecting 8,816 residential buildings. Emergency response teams comprising 103 personnel and 41 vehicles are currently operating in the area.
On the evening of April 5th, a dam broke in two locations in the city of Orenburg, flooding several thousand buildings and households. Local residents noted that the dam had been leaking for several days.
