British Ambassador's Publication Angers Zakharova
The Russian Foreign Ministry may summon British Ambassador Nigel Casey to its diplomatic office due to his publication regarding the illegality of Russian presidential elections in Ukrainian regions occupied by the Russian Federation. This was reported by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on her Telegram channel.
The statement from the British Embassy in Moscow emphasizes that Russia has no legal basis to conduct elections in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions, as these areas belong to Ukraine.
“I have the following question for the British Embassy: has the ambassador been long at Smolensk Square? Seeing him is not a pleasure for us, but for preventive purposes, we may call him if this strategy does not stop,” said the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
