New Statement from CSTO Regarding Armenia
Recently, Armenia has not been participating in the activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretariat; however, there is no official statement regarding Armenia's cessation of its CSTO membership. This was announced by the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov in an interview with TASS.
“Indeed, Yerevan has not been participating in the activities of the CSTO Secretariat recently. This is Armenia’s decision at this stage, and we, as an international organization, respect any decision made by a sovereign state,” Tasmagambetov stated, adding that the organization’s operations continue in full capacity, and that the secretariat informs the relevant structures in Yerevan about the decisions being made and adopted in a working manner.
