Opening of the Zangezur Corridor Will Be More Than a Transport Route, But a Unifying Factor for the Turkic World: Turkish Minister
The opening of the Zangezur Corridor will increase the volume of freight transport in the Middle Corridor direction from 1 million tons per year to 25 million tons. This was stated by Turkey's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu in an interview with TRT Haber.
He noted that the Zangezur Corridor will serve as an alternative to the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line. According to him, this route will become not only a transport corridor but also a unifying factor for the Turkic world.
Uraloglu also added that ongoing renovation works on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will be completed next month. He emphasized that the passage of the Zangezur Corridor through Turkey will contribute to the development of the country's industry, technology, and tourism.
